In this installment titled "Entrepreneurship for Kids", children will be exposed to and taught:
/clear communication skills
/basic customer mapping
/creativity in the marketplace
/understanding the enterprising spirit (there is no easy way out!)
Working with the old folks of Ling Kwang Home for the Elderly, our participants will have to device ideas to 'sell' plant-based products to the elderly folks, who do not have access to the outside world. They will work in teams to create plans and strategies before approaching their 'customers' to present their products for sale. We will provide guidance and mentorship throughout the session.
This session aims to benefit not just the children, but also the old folks who are placed in the home with no more visitation from their families. This is truly Social Entrepreneurship.
A Different Kind of Tuition is an experiential workshop-based program for primary school-going children.
We aim to teach children the values of life, together with life skills that are not taught in school.
Our dream is to build the next generation of Singapore into mentally strong yet gracious young people who will have these values and life skills to aid them through their growing years up until adulthood and beyond, as they deal with increasing responsibilities in school and life.
Throughout the program, they will learn to gain:
- Positive Attitude
- Appreciation for what they already have
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Entrepreneurial skills
