With the growing population in Singapore, our environment is increasingly urbanised; and the work, school and home atmospheres increasingly stressful, hence there is an ever-pressing need for more sustainable breathing spaces amongst our built environment for people to grow some happiness, through plants.
Our Urban Farming workshop will introduce participants to the concept of growing their own food; its technical aspects and its intrinsic connections to our physical and mental health. Participants will learn to rediscover spaces in their homes, offices and search for opportunities to grow their very own ‘mini farms’ in these environments.
Eat what you have grown!
In this hands-on and informative workshop, Super Farmers will also show you how you can easily grow organic edible plants using daily household packaging that would otherwise be thrown away.
Learn about easy-to-grow herbs and vegetables that thrive in our urban micro-climates, learn how to maintain these plants, and most importantly, create your own chic planting project to bring home!
All materials provided.
