Singapore Design Week

Super Farmers was commissioned to create an edible plant installation on the grounds of Lloyd's Inn, during the Singapore Design Week. We worked with placemaking studio, Shophouse & Co, who also curated a host of other activities all around Singapore for visitors during the Singapore Design Week.

We decided to showcase unusual ways edible plants could be grown in, to give a refreshing perspective to the otherwise ubiquitous ways of plant-growing. Our underlying message was primarily upcycling, to make use of unwanted items that are lying around the house to create pieces of living art.

Our installation was showcased in the award-winning boutique hotel's courtyard, alongside a hidden sun shadow message that would only appear on the floor of the entrance walkway when the sun rose right above at high noon. These messages all speak of living a life growing plants.
